With two gorgeous and energetic toddlers to chase after, Kati doesn’t often get the chance to make art for themselves. It has always been a passion, and she’s so grateful for the opportunity to create something for the Geeveston Art Show. This is their second year entering. Last year they were inspired by collecting shells by the sea and this year she’s been drawn into the water again. This time around, she’s dived in. Kati has been cold water swimming since early Autumn. She has let out primal screams and joyous laughter with the Franklin Frosties taking part in a solstice swim and gone regularly down to Dover for many an ocean plunge throughout the winter. Those icy, invigorating dips have been the inspiration for their mixed media contribution. They embrace the revitalising ocean while celebrating their body in all its natural beauty.
